Dr. Heather Billings oversees faculty development programming, provides consultation, and creates resources and activities to support faculty and health professions educators across the enterprise. Dr. Billings is a faculty member within the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, chairs the Faculty Development Steering Committee and is the Graduate Medical Education section leader for the regional Central Group of Educational Affairs executive committee. Dr. Billings led the creation of the Academy of Educational Excellence and is continuing to build faculty development programs, such as the Fundamentals in Medical Education program. Dr. Billing’s research projects includes innovative curriculum designs, faculty development dissemination strategies, mentorship development and multidisciplinary team science models.
